Know the Signs,
Know Your Worth
Domestic Violence Awareness Month with Sharon Gaffka, Avon and Refuge
In support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Sharon Gaffka hosted a panel event in partnership with Refuge and Avon. She was joined by psycho & sychosexual therapist, Alexis Caught, and forensic psychologist & Big Brother 2024 winner, Ali Bromley, to discuss how to navigate a healthy relationship and what red flag/signs to look out for.
Given the sensitive topic, particularly as we were unaware of the personal experiences our attendees, our priority was to ensure that everyone felt safe and supported throughout the event. We aimed to create an atmosphere that was open and approachable yet serious enough to reflect the importance of the topic, but not so heavy or formal that it became uncomfortable.
To achieve this, we briefed our expert panelists to tailor their discussions to the audience, many of whom were content creators working online. The panel explored ways creators can use their platforms to raise awareness and advocate for change.
